Description

I have specialised in collecting Mexican minerals for over 20 yrs and this is probably the best legrandite specimen I have seen in that time within a sensible price range.

The specimen is full of interest with numerous, reflective, legrandite crystals up to a maximum 1.7 cm all over. The main feature is a spray of crystals up to 1.3 cm with sharp terminations when un-contacted. Most interesting is the association of both smithsonite and limonite

The smithsonite crystals are a highly attractive and unusual tan colour with white tips while the limonite has a dark grey botryoidal form.

A great specimen in great condition.
