Description

An interesting blue-john fluorite with calcite (not overly common) specimen from Casteton, Derbyshire. It comprises of a cleaved mass of dark blue purple fluorite over which has grown cream white rhombic Calcite. To the underside there's is a little limestone matrix and fine mass of intensely purple fine grained Blue-John fluorite. A nice contrast on a specimen of highly coveted material.
