Description

A very nice and unusual terminated blue-john fluorite specimen from the famous Blue-John caverns. Derbyshire, collected sometime in the early 1950's. The specimen comprises of of yellowish fluorite with interlocking cubic crystals to 1.6 cm, translucent surfaces edges and stepped faces. The crystals arescattered through with blue-purple speckles to the the crystal faces. On the undersides there is deep blue-purple fluorite with calcite pseudomorphs. A fine small cabinet specimen and excellent under magnification.
