Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Stak Nala, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5 × 4 × 3 cm
Description

This is truly an exceptional colourless topaz in terms of transparency to the extent that I have found it impossible to photograph as my camera is only able focus on the matrix behind or catch surface reflections. It is 2.0 cm long and 1.0 cm across, surrounded by mica crystals and sitting on top of a square section feldspar crystal. Please note this specimen has been listed as Stak Nala, pakistan- the label only gives Northern areas and Stak Nala is simply the most likely location based on the appearance and the volume of material that originates there. The lack of exact location should not detract from the quality of this crystal.
