Description

Hi All, this auction is part of a series of ‘Clear-out Minerals’ Clear-out auctions. This specimen and the majority of others on offer this have a starting price 50% or more lower than in all previous auctions. Happy bidding. An interesting specimen for the zeolite collectors. Uncommon massive white gonnardite with dark brown biotite mica. Originating from a alkaline syenite pegmatite in the disused Allt a' Mhuillin quarry. This is a rare occurrence and, these specimens are the first reported UK examples from a non-basaltic host rock. There are small crystals developed in cavities within the gonnardite.
