Description

This is a good representative specimen of rare larnite from the type locality. It is produced at the contact of a dolerite intrusion with the very pure limestone of the Antrim Plateau in conjunction with the associated flint nodules. Wollastonite is also formed during this metamorphosis and fluoresces an orange colour (pictured).
