Description

Specimen of dark blue veszelyite crystals partly on mother rock, partly on blue, botryoidal hemimorphite's structures with accompanying kipushite crust and zincolibethenite spheres. It comes from a fresh 2019/2020 discovery in the Republic of the Congo. Beautiful, colorful and contrasting specimen.

Veszelyite is a rare copper and zinc secondary phosphate mineral. This particular find is one of the three most interesting finds of this mineral in mineralogical history so far, among such ones as these at Black Pine Mine in Montana and Laochang ore field.
