This is an excellent sample of massive Strickblende ( knitted Galenite) from the classic Schmalgraf Mine, La Calamine, Belgium, famous for such very special specimens.

This unique Strickblende shows uniform structures corresponding to the cubic crystal system of Galenite. Combined with spherical growth - simply incredible!

This outstanding specimen comes from the collection of Helmut Knoll, a famous collector of petrified wood from the Aachen strata.
