Description

A rare classic from Poland: 19th century specimens from Bytom. Already in 1850 Otto Ludwig Krug v. Nidda (in Zeitschrift der Deutschen geologischen Gesellschaft) described those pseudomorphs of cerussite after phosgenite from the Elisabethgrube mine and the nearby Severin-Mine. 4 straw yellowish-white blocky pseudomorphs which may contain an unaltered core of phosgenite (which v. Nidda described as quite common). Really rare old time material. Ex Krantz, unfortunately no old label. Size is for the biggest crystal.
