Description

The specimens of orpiment from this mine to my knowledge came out from the 1990s to around 2000 in noticeable amounts and caused quite some stir as they could compete with the best specimens worldwide in terms of colour and aesthetics. After that, no more finds were made. Nowadays they are rarely seen and if then often bruised. This is a very nice example with parallel grown crystals with dark orange terminations and bright lustrous orange yellow "interior" (ie cleavages) on matrix.
