Description

Cream coloured, fine grained sphalerite as schalenblende with darker rim hosts some skeletal galena crystals similar to the well-known knitted galena. From a small lot of ore samples from Corphalie out of an old german collection. Some yellowish crusts could be greenockite which is often seen on such specimens. Greenockite forms from the decomposition of Cd bearing sphalerite.
