Description

Interesting specimen from the former Bayerland pyrite mine. The mine closed in the early 1970s and was famous for nice limonite specimens from the gossan zone and also yielded good specimens of pyrite. It was also the type locality for falkmanite. This is the first chalcopyrite specimen i have ever encountered from this mine: brassy lustrous to dullish crystal aggregates on host rock.
