Description

A miniature with bright yellow transparent to translucent and well developed flat native sulphur crystals on matrix from Italy. This 19th century specimen is labeled to be from Cattolica, Sicily - which offers as most probable possibility the former salt mine(s) of Cattolica Eraclea in Agrigento, Sicily. A few broken crystals, otherwise very good condition of the fragile native sulphur with the age of the specimen.
