Description

These are not so common: quartz with zones of violet amethyst and smoky quartz on granitic matrix from the Brandberg massif. The crystal also shows an interesting habit.

Not to be confused with the Tafelkop amethysts which come from the Etendeka flood basalts. A nice and showy one from a 2005 find.
