Description

Galicia has fomerly been part of Poland, this area around Boryslaw belongs to Ukraine today: this old timer comes from a more obscure locality. The area of Boryslaw was known for ozocerite, a mineral wax that was mined there sind the mid of the 19th century. The hydrocarbon occurrences also hosted sulfur in asphaltum of which we have an example here. Very rare material!
