Description

This is rarely seen material and comes from the Hans Jaklin stock at Krantz, so it can be assigned to the end of 19th/beginning of 20th centruy: An more or less earthy matrix of copper secondary minerals including malachite, maybe olivenite or similar hosts tiny and in part lustrous intense blue azurite crystals in vugs. The specimen comes from the Miedzianka deposit in the Holy Cross Mts., Poland. Please do not confuse this deposit with the Miedzianka (Kupferberg) locality in Lower Silesia.
