Description

From the A.A. Damour collection at Dr. F. Krantz stems this example of gunmetal blackish bournonite, labeled to be from Chile. The timing of the specimen (mid to late 19th century) suggests the Cerro Blanco district, Copiapó Province, as during that time there was very active base metal mining there and Krantz has/had a lot of specimens from there in stock.
