Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Bergmännisch Glück Mine, Frohnau, Annaberg-Buchholz, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7.1 × 5.5 × 2.8 cm
Description

A very nice specimen from Frohnau, probably from the same find as the famous "rainbow fluorites" from this locality. Stepped cubes of slight sea green and slightly zonal coloured fluorite with some chalcopyrite and carbonate(?). One could say that this is a very pale rainbow fluorite but as it was in my personal collection for some years now the colour should be stable if not exposed to direct sunlight. The "rainbow fluorites" are quite sensitive to UV. Pictures taken with 5500 K LED lamps, colour may vary under different lighting conditions.
