Description

A very interesting and rare at least 100 years old timer from Belgium: cream yellowish fine grained sphalerite as schalenblende with darker rim hosts some skeletal galena crystals known as knitted galena. From a small lot of ore samples from Corphalie out of an old german collection (there are 5 samples with 3 labels) and the pyrite stated on the label is missing at first sight so the label may belong to 'neighbor' specimen but it was with this one.

Anyway a rare european classic!
