Description

A 19th century classic from the Dr. F. Krantz stock but with obviously a french collectors provenance: fahlore (probably tennantite) crystals over chalcopyrite with some quartz, calcite  and dolomite/ankerite(?) from Cerro Blanco, Chile. Rare old timer with historic label. The quite unknown  huge old Cu-Ag-Pb district, now abandoned, was very active during silver and copper ages (1800 to first 50 years of the 20th century and hosts a considerable number of veins and mine properties.
