Description

An interesting older specimen from Krantz in Bonn: a gemmy slightly bluish hexagonal prismatic aquamarine crystal (no termination!) settles on a whitish silicate mineral with striated faces. On the label it was first determined as phenakite but then obviously revoked. It doesn´t look like a feldspar or a topaz to me so it could be phenakite of course but i do not know such specimens from Nertschinsk.

So this is a bit a 'surprise' specimen as i do not have the time at the moment to analyze it - i leave this to the connoisseur who may want to bid on this interesting classic.
