Description

A nice specimen from this not so well known moroccan locale: deep blue azurite crystals settle on malachite matrix. The crystal habitus is unusual.

Due to the absence of the main prism some azurite crystals have the apparent form of a dipyramid or an octahedron. Nice contrast between azurite and malachite is superb.

Only few pieces with this crystallographic habitus were found at this mine..
