Description

Very interesting specimen from this barely known but classic locale: lustrous stibnite aggregates intergrown with quartz and siderite gangue.

The Cemernica deposit is believed to have been known by the Romans, the most intense works were carried out by Saxon miners during the 14th to the 16th century.

This specimen originates most probably from the period 1880- 1885 when Austrian miners explored the deposit again. Two last explorations were carried out by The Copper company, Sarajevo from 1948-1951 by the Geological Survey,
Sarajevo from 1956 to 1961.
