Description

An old time specimen (mid to late 1800s, around 1870 or so) with a label of famous and notorious Charles Ottley Groom-Napier (to learn about his biography check the biographical archive at the mineralogical record website). A vein type matrix consisting of fluorite and carbonate hosts a pale blueish green ball of aurichalcite - a small label is glued on the specimen. The small accompanying label from M&M museum assigns the specimen to Matlock, Derby.
