Description

Interesting sample with a thin creamy-whitish carbonate layer (calcite probably with manganese content, could also be rhodochrosite or kutnohorite, but not tested) covering the walls of a vug in boulder iron ore, overgrown by marcasite crystal aggregates. Rare stuff from the early 1960s and almost unavailable these days.
