Description

Nice example of massive banded sphalerite (Schalenblende) intergrown with some galena. This ore type is the classic one for this famous european locale. Some reniform/botroidal parts are formations in the open vein space. The intergrown galena may show some skeletal habit (Strickbleiglanz) as far to see.

Found in 1989 on the old dumps - now a nature reserve.
