Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Freiberg, Mittelsachsen, Saxony, Germany
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
12.5 × 6.5 × 6.7 cm
Description

This is an Erzgebirge classic, unfortunately no mine is specified but the information i got is that it comes from the Freiberg district. Yellow transparent to translucent fluorite cubes settle on a matrix of reddish tarnished carbonate (looks like dolomite/ankerite). On the fluorite there are small crystals of white quartz. Some deep brownish apparently dodecahedral or blocky rhombohedral crystals of a (former?) sulfide and here and there an orange blocky rhombohedron/cube of undetermined are visible under the lens. A nice specimen which displays fine.
