Description

Specimens from Iran are not very common. The aurichalcite specimens from Chah Kuh maybe amongst the best worldwide but not very known. This is a 1970s example collected by H.J. Wilke, in its original condition (there is a kind of spider cocoon next to the aurichalcite crystals in the centre of the specimen - i leave it to the next owner of the specimen to remove it :-) .. it looks very interesting. The matrix of the acicular turquoise blueish aurichalcite crystals is a limonitic gossan. Very nice example.
