Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Pöhla-Tellerhäuser Mine, Schwarzenberg, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
9.3 × 7.2 × 2 cm
Description

Fluorite from the Erzgebirge is well known and the occurrences of the Freiberg and Annaberg districts are amongst the most prolific and famous in Europe. Fluorite from the Pöhla deposit pales against these occurrences both in fame and quality. Specimens from there are not offered very often (and i remember my last visit on the dumps there in 1991 when i left some nice fluos because we were after the silver). This is a nice example of translucent yellowish fluorite cubes with some stepping of the crystal faces on a quartz rich matrix.
