Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Santa Eulalia, Aquiles Serdán Municipality, Chihuahua, Mexico
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
9.5 × 4.5 × 5.5 cm
Description

A long time before the brownish creedites from Mexico were seen on the market, purplish crystals of this rare mineral were found in the Santa Eulalia district, similar to the russian occurences. The early 1980's find in Santa Eulalia has set the standard for this species and this example can be considered as a typical one for that creedite "generation". The specimen from the Robert Schaffrath stock consists of a matrix covered with radial aggregates of whiteish to slith violte creedite crystals with nice terminations in the major vug. Rarely seen nowadays.
