Description

Japanese minerals, particularly the older classics, are increasingly hard to obtain. This is a very special "specimen": a small carton box with plastic (?) cover is filled with dozens of mostly sharp well developed pyrite cubes and modified cubes (by pyritohedron). The surface of the pyrite is totally oxidised to limonite, some of the pyrites seem to have been totally replaced. Comes with a very nice and quite large label of the japanese collector / dealer T. Suita. Specimen comes out of the Krantz stock in Bonn / GER - this is rare old and classic material, seldom available. Size is for the box, the crystals are from approx 5 mm to approx 1 cm diameter.
