Description

A modern european classic from Trepca, Kosovo: a sphalerite var marmatite base with nice deep black crystals is covered with a layer of cream-pinkish-brownish microcrystals of a carbonate mineral, probably dolomite but i wouldn´t rule out some Mn bearing carbonate. On top there are whiteish crystals of manganoan calcite. Very few broken calcites do not detract from the aesthetics of this specimen.
