Description

Nice miniature of botryoidal goethite with blackish surface in the variety Glaskopf (kidney ore), labeled only Germany. Could be from the Siegerland but there are hundreds of locations in GER which are possible. An interesting fact ist that the label states "Iron glance" (which it isn´t, iron glance, in german Eisenglanz, is a synonym for haematite) and "To be figured" so Groom-Napier considered this sample obviously worth to be documented in picture.
