Description

Japanese minerals, particularly the older classics, are increasingly hard to obtain. This specimen is a ball-like cluster of (rounded) rhombohedral native arsenic crystals which is classic for this locality. There is also a bit of matrix which is even much rare. The Akatani mine is said to be one of the if not THE the world’s foremost location for arsenic crystals. The specimen comes out of the Krantz stock in Bonn / GER - this is rare old and classic material, seldom available.
