Description

Japanese minerals, particularly the older classics, are increasingly hard to obtain. This specimen is out of the Sasamoto collection at Krantz in Bonn, GER, with vesuvianite crystals on matrix from Kiura, Bungo. Bungo is an obsolete political division, the locality is the former Kiura (Shin-Kiura) tin mine in the Oita prefecture, Kyushu Region.
