Description

Monohydrocalcite with vaterite from old Piesocka adit at Špania Dolina. Green monohydrocalcite needles long up to 2 cm are the world largest know crystals for the species! Monohydrocalcite is associated with white vaterite. The new find is going to be published in Lapis shortly. Very few samples were recovered and sold out quickly. I offer here one of the finest samples found. Collected by Tomáš Bancík and Martin Patúš in October 2017. Analysis results included.
