Description

Decrespignyite Y is a rare and recently discovered mineral with its type locality at the Paratoo Mine in South Australia, where this sample came from.

The mineral is an attractive pale blue and is a copper carbonate with a large mixed rare earth element content.

It comes from the oxidized zone of copper deposits with a significant REE component.
