Floater

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Dahegou Mine, Lushi County, Sanmenxia, Henan Province, China (Peoples Republic)
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.7 × 4.9 × 3.2 cm
Description

Usually we know the combination with thin blades of Baryte, but this specimen is very different - the Baryte developed thick, massive crystals (up to 41mm across); they are sharp terminated, partly transparent and with glossy faces. Several Stibnite crystals are on and inside the Baryte. They show a layer of tiny red-brown crystals - these are most likely Stibiconite. This was a very unique discovery, which produced just a few specimen. But the discovery was so rare and special, that this particular specimen was published in the China-book from Berthold Ottens.
