Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Herja Mine, Chiuzbaia, Baia Mare, Maramureș County, Romania
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
10.9 × 7.4 × 5.6 cm
Description

A cluster of 3 larger and two smaller spheres of calcite - one half white, the other one black - caused by boulangerite inclusions. This is very rare and exceptional material, found in very low quantity over 20 years ago - this material is unique world-wide. All spheres are covered with tiny, sparkling micro-crystals. At an area in the middle of the backside - at around the upper half - the spheres are not perfect, here a part of matrix was removed by trimming; so not perfect, but still a fantastic piece.
