Description

This is also historic stuff; most relevant specimen were found around 1900 or before and finally 1950 the mine was completely closed. So there will never be any new material, all we have are around 100 years old specimen and these are limited! You can see complex surface topography on the termination, smooth luster all around and some smaller side crystals at the lower base. The unique triangular shape has been created by three intersecting crystals, in union with the curved edges I would say this is very rare material from the late 1800s, the dark steel-grey color fits to this evaluation. Similar material is documented at the Carnegie and Harvard Mineralogical museum, they own similar pieces as reference. Minor Calcite is also present - this makes the specimen even more rare and special - there was only a very low number of pieces which were combined with Calcite. Two sides of the crystal show a dark blue iridescent luster - that´s the cherry on the cake!
