Description

Incredible single crystal of lustrous dark and intense amber coloured cassiterite from the Merekski ore district in Russia. This excellent colour is typical for the location and the crystal is even translucent at some areas. It is also complete all around with razor sharp edges and a perfect termination. It is extremely rare to get samples in this exceptional quality from the location so this should be highly valued in terms of rarity and especially quality.
