Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Tsumeb Mine, Otavi Highlands, Namibia
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7 × 5.2 × 3.5 cm
Description

The freestanding main group is sharp terminated and transparent, well developed and in excellent condition front and back side. All faces are highly lustrous! The color is light ivory and it shows wonderful contrast to snowy white sparkling crystals of first generation and dark; nearly black matrix. The size, the free-standing crystals unified with best luster and aesthetic assemble make this piece so out-standing, really crazy good for the mineral as well for this most relevant, famous classic locality. And it looks great in each angle - even the back-side is not less attractive than front-display. The transparency of the crystals is also exceptional - on the photo is looks more white; that´s the luster of the faces! In person it is almost gemmy. For sure a mayor piece for Tsumeb. No significant damages to report.
