Mahodari, Sinnar, Nashik District, Maharashtra, India
Class:
Crystals on Matrix

Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.2 × 3.9 × 4.8 cm
Description

Botryoidal Fluorites are a great rarity, only India and China produced these spherical fluorites in relevant quantity. The most out-standing specimen are these red samples from Mahadori - under sun-light or artificial light they look like tomatoes. In my evaluation the most remarkable color for fluorite. The particular specimen shows a very tri-dimensional, sculptural assemble and looks great in various positions. The matrix helps to give a lot of contrast to the piece and the size of the individual spheres is also exceptional. No significant damages to report.
