Description

For decades the only minerals which sometimes came on the market from entire Ireland were some unimportant Quartz and Calcite samples. Ireland seems to own really NONE relevant mineral specimen. Until the discovery in Larkins Quarry. A few years ago a first important discovery was done - it was really a sensation. For decades; for centuries there was not even one important discovery in Ireland and then these amazing fluorites were found - intense, dark purple crystals came out; cubes with additional modifications of rhomb and even wih lustrous faces. Now I was able to acquire some finest new specimen from a recent discovery. And now look at this fantastic crsytal:

It shows a sharp dark violet framing along the edges, a light sky blue area and in the center a octahedral phantom! This octahedron was also dark purple. If you look carefully - ether is a thin colorless light cross exactly in the middle - I think the octahedron must show thin (less than 1mm) colorless modification along the edges. And one quarter of the octahedron had a dark green layer. in the upper area of the cube you can see minor light cyan zonings and further steps of green are located in the lower corner at the right hand side. This is completely different to the material from 2016 and it is fantastic!
