Description

First a little locality information - the Orange river is the second longest river of entire Africa - the spring is in Lesotho and it is the natural border between Lesotho and Namibia. The localities along the river are well known for Quartz, ferruginous Quartz and Amethyste - Fluorite came only rare, except the famous discoveries of Riemvasmaak, which is located at the South African side of Orange River - exactly at the most eastern-South corner of Namibia. This is a very special piece - a dark octahedral fluorite crystal, framed with milky quartz crystals. Along the edges of the octahedron you can see a second generation of bright yellow, cubic crystals. This is something really unique!
