Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Rogerley Mine, Frosterley, Weardale, County Durham, United Kingdom
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
10 × 6.5 × 5.8 cm
Description

This is really a very good piece from old discoveries at this most famous mine! The crystals are highly lustrous and sharp terminated. The exposed main crystal shows a remarkable dimension, it is free-standing and complete also back-side, the faces show this most attractive vicinal-texture and there are no fuzzy centers - it is in cut-quality. The piece also shows this famous daylight fluorescence - from dark, intense green under artificial light to intense blue under daylight. Hard to photograph and much better in person.
