Description

Fluorite from Ireland is very rare and hard to obtain. For decades or even for centuries there was not even one relevant discovery in entire Ireland - until a first discovery at Larkins Quarry a few years ago. This is material from a new spectacular discovery - and it is really fantastic! The color is light blue with dark violet zoning along the edges. But the most amazing indicator is the octahedral phantom on the center. At the corners you also can see green spots which makes this piece even more rare and special. Backside (all of them were extracted from the rock) was on the rock.
