Planggenstock, Göscheneralp, Göschenen Valley, Reuss Valley, Uri, Switzerland
Class:
Single Crystal
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5.9 × 5.5 × 4 cm
Description

What a wonderful crystal! The specimen is developed as floater, backside is stepped in tiny sharp faces, front-display shows the regular octahedral habit. A part of the backside shows inter grown dark green chlorite, this helps to give a lot of contrast and makes it look like framed along the edges. The huge main crystal shows a very good intensity for this famous locality!
