Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Bleicherode, Nordhausen, Thuringia, Germany
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
8.2 × 6 × 5.5 cm
Description

Fantastic old classic! The specimen is developed as floater. The Selenite shows very good clarity and luster and developed twinned crystals. On it you can see numerous sharp, glossy Halite cubes. The Selenite showsintense red-brown color, the Halite is completely colorless - the contrast between the two species is spectacular. This material is very rare and hard to obtain - and the particular specimen is not just a sample; it was the very best of only a fist full specimen we acquired! No significant damages to report, very showy in each position.
