Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)

9.5 × 8 × 5.6 cm
Description

The scalenohedrons are razor sharp terminated and all faces are highly lustrous. But there are two generations of crystals. First these dark crystals with sharp internal zoning and intense red color (it is not a layer - the red color is an inclusion of hematite - not on the faces; inside the crystals) and a second generation of white, colorless crystals between the dark crystals. This contrast between dark colorful crystals and light colorless crystals is much better in person.

The largest crystal is set in the center - freestanding and raising up vertically.

One the photos the piece looks a little bit messy - but it isn´t; in person there is a clear contrast and the details are really amazing. I also wanted to show the luster of the faces and so maybe this messy visual impression is the result that I wanted to show all indicators on the images. The specimen is in excellent condition damage-wise, the assemble is very tri-dimensional and aesthetic
